Huawei officials said that Kunpeng 920 is a chip designed for distributed storage and large data processing applications. Like Heise Kirin 980,
it is manufactured in a 7-nanometer process. It is reported that the 920 Kunpeng SPECint benchmark test is over 930 points, but also over
the industry benchmark 25% higher, and has more than 30% energy-saving efficiency. It is known
as the highest performance Arm architecture chip in the industry, and it is also well-known.
Kuipeng 920 integrates 8-channel DDR4, 64 cores and 100G RoCE Ethernet card. Its main frequency is 2.6GHz. It can provide 640Gbps total
broadband. It is designed by Huawei. It will greatly improve the performance of storage and all kinds of accelerators.
According to people familiar with the situation, Kunpeng 920 will be first used in Huawei Arm server product line. At the same time,
Huawei has also launched three new Taishan server models, which are deeply studied in terms of storage, high density and so on.
